Where Can I Find A Copy Of The Ipcc First Assesment Report (working Group 1) (1990 Version)?

These older reports have likely got some embarrassing predictions of how hot it would be by 2010 in them. I don’t think the IPCC is proud of it’s track record of making predictions.

I used those reports (and early drafts) in some work I did years ago. This was all pre-internet – 386 computers were considered fast and DOS was the operating system. Most computers were not networked and fast connection speeds were at 1 Mb/s, 10Mb/s if you were cutting edge and ran through coaxial cable. Everything communicating off-site went through modems (fast was 28 Kb/s). PDF format didn’t yet exist. Bulletin board were just starting and Windows was a “toy” interface for the DOS OS. You could maybe use it a couple of hours before it crashed your computer.
Those reports are only available in hard copy form. The distribution rights we signed over to the publisher (common in those days) and there was no provision to make them available on line (didn’t really exist yet). You’ll be surprised at the accuracy of the predictions despite the fact they had so much to do on the ocean and cloud models, and aerosols we not accounted for at all in some cases. With all the advancements, it has just shown the early work to be pretty much on the mark.
You might try a university research library near you if they do environmental science or climatology. Maybe check a public library. It is not light reading so go straight to the librarian. They will most likely need to check their inter-library loan network to get a copy if they can.
I posted the IPCC website below, but that only tells you to buy them if you can find them (bottom of page). Print it out and take it with you to the library.

I’ve been searching through ECOSOC’s websites and the IPCC website. It seems as if there is no PDF available on line and you have to request a hard copy. I have provided a link with specifics. http://www.ipcc.ch/ipccreports/assessmen…
Scroll down to the 1990 docs

You mean the one in which the authors were honest enough to include this graph?http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en…
