Galactic Global Warming

Wake up and smell the coffee Al (as in Gore). That’s not hydrocarbons in the air. It’s something much more powerful. The true global warming that we are facing as inhabitants of this planet called earth is beyond some sort of Kyoto treaty fix. We need to move from what Al Gore has to say about global warming and listen to what Alexey Dmitriev is saying. After all, he’s not a recycled politician buy one of the world’s greatest geophysicists. He simply says global warming is galactic warming. Work with that one.

Is there global warming? That’s the initial question. And my answer is YES! The real question though is what’s the cause of global warming. Al Gore has his answers and political solutions but those pale in the presence of the reality of the truth. Dmitriev says that there are three causes of the global warming, which in all actuality is galactic warming!

1-Dynamic incremental conditions of interplanetary medium.

2-Energetic effects of planetary configuration of the Solar system.

3-Impulses from the center of the galaxy.

Say what?

Interpretation of tongues is that the entire solar system is heating up and I’m afraid that Al Gore does not have a fix for that. Some proof of such a scenario would include the doubling of the magnetic field of Jupiter. Jupiter also has a red spot (Oval BA) which has doubled essentially verifying that an electromagnetic storm (the size of the earth) is heating up. The atmosphere of Mars is becoming more dense. The atmosphere of Venus is changing in chemical composition and even optical quality. Uranus and Neptune are showing major magnetic pole shifts. The bottom line is that ALL planets are heating up.

Why?

Every morning we get up we subconsciously are aware that this ground on which we live is rotating. We also are aware that the whole of the planet is also rotating around the sun (can you say 2008 vs. 2007?). But, what we’re not aware of is that we are passengers of a Solar System which is rotating around the Milky Way galaxy. And then there’s our galaxy which is moving around within this universe, which is a universe moving round other universes?

It’s gets too damned difficult and complex at times now doesn’t it. So, how did the Mayans know about black holes and polar shifts?

According to Dmitriev, we are moving into some interstellar turbulence. Fasten your seat belts ladies and gentlemen. Not all oceans are the same. From the calm Indian Ocean to the stormy North Atlantic, water is water but it has different dynamics. And even a calm Indian Ocean can have a tsunami change things. Space is space but there are currents and distubences therein. Dmitriev has used the 1977 and 1988 Voyager data to forecast rough seas ahead: turbulent heliosphere sailing. This is much more serious than weird weather patterns on planet earth.

Even our sun is being impacted. Activity during it’s low activity season (now) is high. What can that say when it reaches a peck around 2012? Can we just write it all off?

Hey Al Gore. We have a much bigger problem here. We’re going to need an exponentially expanded consciousness of everyone on the planet. Galactic global warming isn’t going to be solved intellectually, but spiritually. And I know that we do have the ability and wherewithal to go there. Do we really have a choice?

Now, back to the 2008 election news and Britney Spears. NOT!

Dummies Guide To Global Warming

We have all heard the comments that changes in temperature could lead to drought, more disease and rising sea levels a million times. We have also heard the warnings of global warming for almost a decade.
The push is on to promote green living to help save the environment and stop some of the effects of global warming. So the question that still bugs many of us are – what is really global warming and how does it affects us? Is it some false alarm by scientists and political leaders out to win the voters heart? Are those threats real or is this just hype to further political awareness? Let us find out -
What is Global Warming – Global warming refers to the temperature of the earth near surface air. It allows the earth to be habitable, as it absorbs some of the heat from the sun.
Effects of Global Warming – Greenhouse gases that have been released into the earth’s atmosphere are contributing to the rise in the surface air temperature. What impact is this having on earth right now? Scientists show that the average temperature has risen in the last century.
It is believed that most of that increase has come in the last couple of decades. With the increase steadily rising, scientists believe that it will continue to rise at an even faster pace for the future.
Rise in Sea Levels – With the melting of the ice, we are seeing a rise in the sea levels. Currently, the rise is a small amount, but since the temperatures are soaring at a fairly rapid rate, the rise will become a problem in the future.
The water level will be raised to a point where flooding will occur, which could make it difficult in pumping it out of the areas where people live. Precipitation is increasing as well.
Storms and Hurricanes – The amount of rainfall and snowfall is increasing over time. Storms are not only becoming more abundant, but we are starting to see them increase in intensity as well. Hurricanes will probably occur more often, be stronger and reach farther inland.
Floods – The warming temperatures are also causing more evaporation to occur. The more evaporating we see, the more chances for these storms to develop, which could ultimately result in the high category hurricanes, we are seeing today. The heavier rainfalls will occur, driving people from their flooded homes.
Animal Extinction – The ecosystems are seeing hardships, too. Some species of animals are slowly moving northward for livable conditions, while other species are slowly dwindling in numbers and struggling to survive extinction. Arctic ice is slowly disappearing over time. The warmer temperatures caused by the global warming effects are melting the ice. Polar bears are feeling the effects of the melting ice as they find themselves stranded in the middle of the open sea. Ultimately, these polar bears are losing their life by drowning in the seas trying to find more ice patches to climb onto.
Drought and Diseases – Changes in temperature could lead to drought, more disease and rising sea levels, which are likely to hit developing countries harder. There will be disappearance of some species and that vectors like the mosquitoes that cause malaria were getting more favourable habitats.Other than malaria, cholera, dysentery and diarrhoea were likely to become common as the low-lying areas were likely to get flooded after the melting of ice at the Arctic and Antarctica.
Global warming is showing some slow effects right now, but they are believed to increase over time unless we start to do something to reverse it. By using some green living methods in our daily lives, we can slow down those disastrous effects to save the planet for our heirs.

For All True Believers, Is The Ipcc Using Faulty Information On Purpose?

http://www.mitosyfraudes.org/Calen7/Morn…
This is an interview with a sea level guy. He accuses the IPCC guys of pulling up a tree that didn’t show the water was rising. He accuses the IPCC (gospel to alarmist) of using false information with regard to sea levels on purpose. His predictions are not even close to alarmist who say the ske is falling. If you want both sides read this interview. Some of the people who answer will no doubt attack Nils-Axel personally and not mention the facts he talks about.

Bush On Global Warming: Decider Or Dissembler?

President George W. Bush once famously declared: “I’m the decider, and I decide what’s best.” But when it comes to environmental issues, especially global warming, Bush often sounds more like the dissembler than the decider.
Throughout his presidency, Bush’s so-called leadership on global climate change has lurched from outright stonewalling in the early years, when he refused to discuss or even acknowledge the issue, to misdirection and political sleight-of-hand.
Speaking recently from the White House Rose Garden to consider new climate change strategies, the president set what he called a “realistic” national goal to stop the growth of U.S. greenhouse gas emissions by 2025.
Unfortunately, the president offers no actual plan for achieving the new goal, instead calling on Congress to find some way to make it happen. More to the point, the goal itself falls far short of what many scientists believe must be done to prevent the most catastrophic effects of global warming, which is to reduce total greenhouse gas emissions at least 15-20 percent by 2020 and 80 percent by 2050, not simply to stop emissions from increasing.
Bush believes that it is possible to protect the environment without hurting the economy, and said any new policies or legislation must strike that balance. Bush thinks advanced technology is the key to solving global warming and recommended incentives that would make it more cost-effective for businesses to adopt new clean-energy technology instead of sticking with old systems that emit more greenhouse gases. Again, he never offered a plan for how to get the job done.
Bush praises his administration for increasing the use of wind and solar power and called for continuing investments in renewable energy and carbon sequestration, but he points to nuclear energy and coal – including so-called “clean coal” – as the keys to America’s “energy and economic security.”
The president says his administration has provided “billions of dollars for next generation nuclear energy technologies” and “in 2009 alone, the government and the private sector plan to dedicate nearly a billion dollars to clean coal research and development.”
Bush criticizes U.S. courts for applying what he considers narrow and outdated laws to a broad issue such as global warming. Specifically, he says “the Clean Air Act, the Endangered Species Act, and the National Environmental Policy Act were never meant to regulate global climate.” He took a slap at the U.S. Supreme Court decision that the Clean Air Act gives the EPA authority to regulate greenhouse gas emissions from vehicles.
The president believes stretching environment laws “beyond their original intent” could force the federal government to act like a local planning and zoning board and to regulate a wide range of small energy users and producers – from schools and stores to hospitals and apartment buildings – which he says would have “crippling effects on our entire economy.”
In discussing various vague strategies that might help fight global warming, the president rejects tax increases, tariffs, trade barriers, and regulations that might lead to higher costs for businesses. Instead, Bush recommends creation of an international clean technology fund “that will help finance low-emissions energy projects in the developing world” and called on all nations “to help spark a global clean energy revolution by agreeing immediately to eliminate trade barriers on clean energy goods and services.”
Many concerned observers are unimpressed with the president’s new strategy to address the problems of greenhouse gas emissions and global warming.
“Unfortunately, President Bush retains the mantle of the most anti-environmental president in history,” stated Gene Karpinski, president of the League of Conservation Voters, in a telephone interview with The Guardian. Karpinski pointed out that Bush’s 2000 presidential campaign promise to cap global warming pollution from power plants was never honored. “Since that time, all we’ve had is empty words but no serious action.”
“This basically sounds like the same quarterback calling the same play,” said Daniel J. Weiss, director of climate strategy at the Center for American Progress, in an interview with the Washington Post. “It’s just another way of Bush saying no.”
President Bush believes that the strategy he has laid out shows faith in the ingenuity and enterprise of the American people – and that’s a resource that will never run out. He is confident that with sensible and balanced policies from Washington, American innovators and entrepreneurs will pioneer a new generation of technology that improves our environment, strengthens our economy, and continues to amaze the world.
Let’s hope so, because the only amazing thing about the president’s strategy for greenhouse gas emissions and global warming is its lack of any real effort to address such serious problems.

Amazon: A-z of Global Warming

The phrase global warming is a term that has been in common usage for some time and usually refers to the warming of Earth’s atmosphere, and which also implies a manmade or human influence.

Earth’s atmosphere is comprised of many gases, oxygen, nitrogen, carbon dioxide and water vapour to name a few. These gases are collectively called greenhouse gases and they keep the Earth’s temperature at a comfortable 15 degrees Celsius, without them Earth would be a chilly – 18 degrees Celsius. Since pre-industrial times, usually taken to be around 1750 we know from ice core records that Co2 levels were around 280 ppm, that’s 280 parts of Co2 per million parts of air. As industrialisation got underway mankind started to farm the land more intensely than ever before, deforest for agriculture and settlements, and later since around 1850 or so, burn fossil fuels for energy and transport which have added considerably to greenhouse gas levels, particularly Co2.

This has resulted in Co2 levels increasing to around 385 ppm, an increase of around 37% from pre-industrial levels mainly as a result of burning fossil fuels.

How do we know this? Well, data from ice core records that go back at least 650,000 years now show us that Co2 levels have fluctuated naturally during this time between 280 and 300 ppm. Co2 levels have also been measured accurately from the top of Mauna Loa Volcano in Hawaii since 1958, and results show an increase in Co2 levels from 315 ppm to 385 ppm since that time. Therefore Co2 is now at 85 ppm more than it has been for at least 650,000 years of Earth’s history. It is a known scientific fact that higher levels of greenhouse gases will lead to higher temperatures, which appears to be happening now. The world has warmed by an average of 0.74 degrees during the last 100 years or so.

As a result of this warming, polar ice has started to decrease and melt, and so are Earth’s land based glaciers. This in turn is causing sea levels to rise which is putting low lying islands at risk of flooding or total submersion, and will eventually threaten more and more of the worlds coastal cities and regions.

As Earth’s atmosphere starts to warm, the warming itself may cause further positive feedback mechanisms to kick in. A warmer atmosphere holds more water vapour, which is itself a powerful greenhouse gas. This will in turn cause further warming, and so on.

Melting ice means that more sunlight is absorbed by the surrounding “darker” water and land, meaning further warming, and more melting ice. Methane deposits currently held in a frozen but stable state under the sea and under the permafrost maybe released as the oceans warm and permafrost melts, which will cause further warming as methane is a potent greenhouse gas etc etc.

Where better place to start this A-Z journey on global warming than with The Amazon Rainforest, which has an incredibly important role to play in maintaining a balance in the Earth’s climate. The Amazon is inextricably linked to the issue of global warming and has a considerable influence on Earth’s climate.

Amazon Facts

The Amazon river basin contains the largest rainforest on Earth and covers approximately 40% of the South American continent. The Amazon Rainforest is located within eight countries, Brazil contains 60% of the forest, with Colombia, Peru, Venezuela, Ecuador, Bolivia, Guyana, Suriname and French Guyana containing the rest.

The Amazon forest is a natural reservoir of genetic diversity, containing the largest and most species rich tract of tropical rainforest that exists. The Amazon contains an amazing thirty-percent of Earth’s species. One square kilometre of Amazon can contain about 90,000 tons of living plants! It’s also amazing to consider that one in five of all the birds in the world make the rainforest their home.

The Amazon basin is drained by the Amazon river, the worlds second longest after the Nile and the river is essentially the lifeline of the forest. The river is the most voluminous on Earth.

A few hundred years ago tropical rainforests covered as much as 12% of the Earth’s land surface, but today the figure is less than 5%. The largest stretch of rainforest can be found in the Amazon river basin, over half of which lies in Brazil.

Why is the Amazon so important in the context of global warming?

The rainforest acts as a major store of Carbon and produces enormous amounts of oxygen. The Amazon has been referred to as “The lungs of the Earth” because of its affect on the climate. The way this is achieved is of course through photosynthesis, the process by which green plants/trees use the energy from sunlight to produce food by taking carbon dioxide (Co2) from the air and water and converting them to carbon. The by-product of this is oxygen.

The Amazon therefore helps recycle carbon dioxide by turning it into oxygen, and its estimated that the Amazon produces about 20% of this essential gas for Earth’s atmosphere.

Trees, plants and Co2

Levels of co2 in the atmosphere have been measured since 1958 from a monitoring station located on Mauna Loa volcano in Hawaii and they show sharp annual increases and decreases in co2 levels, similar to the tooth on a saw. The readings almost mimic a breath of air being taken in and out; it’s almost as if the Earth is breathing. The readings correspond to the amount of vegetation on the planet (most of which is contained in the Northern Hemisphere, as the landmass there is greater), taking in co2, and giving out oxygen. During the Northern Hemisphere summer, when the Earth is tilted toward the sun, the Earth’s vegetation is able to photosynthesise resulting in an uptake of co2, causing worldwide co2 levels to drop. During winter, when the Earth’s axis is tilted away from the sun, the opposite happens causing co2 levels to rise again.

When one becomes aware of the correlation between the Earth’s vegetation and co2 levels, it is easy to understand why the Amazon, and rainforests in general are such an important part of Earth’s ecosystem. If global warming is to be tackled, the Amazon, and other rainforests must be saved.
